CIWM Waste wood guidance

This guide has been produced by the members of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) Construction and Demolition (C&D) Waste Forum to help its members manage waste wood correctly.
The guidance applies in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and will ensure that waste wood is properly classified at the time of disposal and subsequently processed for appropriate end uses.
It also helps identify which waste wood items are hazardous in accordance with Technical Guidance WM3. It is fully supported by the Environment Agency (EA). It includes a simple to use visual guide on various waste wood items that are likely to arise in the UK and confirms whether they are non- hazardous or hazardous.
