The 9th Global Asbestos Forum conference will take place on 16–17 November 2026 at the Library of Birmingham, UK, bringing together international experts to discuss the latest developments in asbestos science, policy, innovation, health and professional practice. EDI collaborates with the Global Asbestos Forum, supporting the exchange of knowledge and cooperation across the asbestos and demolition sectors.
Held under the motto “Asbestos: A call to action!”, this year’s conference will feature nearly 30 speakers from around the world. The programme will address the ongoing risks of asbestos exposure, new scientific findings, improvements in legislation and registration, safer removal practices, and campaigns to raise awareness and prevent future asbestos-related diseases.
Alongside the main sessions, participants can take part in workshops, round-table discussions and networking activities, offering opportunities to share experience and build connections across countries and professional fields.
The Global Asbestos Forum aims to strengthen international collaboration and accelerate progress towards preventing new asbestos victims. Its annual conference provides a platform for professionals, specialists and organisations working to improve asbestos management and protect human health.
