The Asbestos working group is back in action

The EDI activity never ceases, and our Working Groups are the main proof of that!

On November 9th, the very first meeting of the reactivated Asbestos Subgroup took place. This initiative, composed of decontamination professionals, aims to achieve several goals. The main ones are the sharing of experience and discussion of new business opportunities related to asbestos removal.

The first meeting was aimed at establishing the general goals of the group, as well as proposing the initial questions to talk about.

Among the topics of interest, we had the asbestos removal market in Europe; asbestos risk assessment; Protective Equipment to work with this material; and workers’ health surveillance plans, among others.

The resulting contents are set to be included in the EDI Special Publication 2024. This yearly document specialising in hazardous substances will be released in May of 2024.

The next meeting of the group will take place on February 7th, 2024.
