First EDI webinar: catch up on decontamination of hazardous waste in Europe

29/09/2020

Given the current situation, created by the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), from EDI we are implementing a series of initiatives to continue with the dissemination of the activities and services developed by EDI members.

In this case, the initiative consists of launching a series of educational webinars on technical topics: short and educational sessions (about one hour) hosted online and broadcast live.

Using a specific platform, webinar participants can watch the presentation and follow the speaker’s explanations, as well as interact through a chat and ask their own questions.

The first EDI webinar on October 14th will be about decontamination of hazardous waste in Europe through the presentation of two publications elaborated by the association, closely related to this topic: the EDI Industry report 2020 and the EDI Special Publication 2020.

The first European Decontamination Industry Report includes a visual overview of Europe’s decontamination industry, forecasts and specific information about the decontamination activity given by the contractors themselves.

The EDI Special Publication 2020 is a reference document with information about why decontamination is necessary and defines what wastes are hazardous and why are dangerous.

Participation in this webinar is completely free for all attendees, they just need to register in advance.

For logistical reasons, the number of participants is limited by the platform itself. So, registrations will be accepted in strict order of entry until the technical capacity available is reached for each session.
