EDI Membership Refund/Cancellation Policy

  • The European Decontamination Institute (EDI) reserves the right to refuse/cancel a membership in the EDI.
  • If EDI refuses a new or renewing membership, registrants will be offered a refund.
  • If the membership is canceled, due to misconduct or inappropriate acts, no refund will be offered.

Membership Cancellation

  • Membership cancellations received within 14 days of registration may be eligible to receive a full refund, less a service fee (100 €).
  • Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Cancellations will be accepted only on written (via letter, fax or e-mail), and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline.
  • All benefits and incentives received by the participant must be canceled/returned to the EDI.
  • All refund requests must be made by the member or legal representant of the member.
  • Refunds will be credited back to the account of the member, via bank transfer.

These policies apply to all EDI memberships unless otherwise noted in the corresponding program or activity materials.

EDI Event Refund/Cancellation Policy

Event Cancellation by Sponsor

  • The European Decontamination Institute (EDI) reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other internal circumstances which would make the event non-viable.
  • Should circumstances arise that result in the cancellation or postponement of an event, sponsors will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.
  • If the event is canceled due to external reasons, out of the control of EDI (f.i. weather conditions, natural disasters,…), sponsors will not receive any refund. Depending on the particular circumstances of the cancellation, sponsors may have the option to transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.

Registration Cancellation by Participant

  • Unless specifically stated on registration materials, the deadline to receive refunds for EDI events is:
    • up to 20 business days before the starting day of the event: full refund, less a service fee (100 €).
    • at least 10 business days before the starting day of the event: 50% refund.
  • Registration cancellations received prior to the deadline may be eligible to receive a refund, as stated above.
  • Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event.
  • Cancellations will be accepted only on written (via letter, fax or e-mail), and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline.
  • All refund requests must be made by the participant or legal representant of the participant.
  • Refunds will be credited back to the account of the member, via bank transfer.

Room Booking Cancellation by Participant

  • Refunds will not be available for room bookings who choose not to stay at the hotel.
  • Cancellations will be accepted only on written (via letter, fax or e-mail), and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline.
  • All refund requests must be made by the participant or legal representative of the participant.
  • Refunds will be credited back to the account of the member, via bank transfer.

EDI Goods Refund/Return Policy

  • All returns of goods and materials purchased directly from the European Decontamination Institute (EDI) require prior authorization.
  • Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
  • Returns must be authorized by the EDI within 30 days of the invoice date. Within 30 days of purchase, we will replace, substitute or repair, at our sole discretion, any EDI product or material that is deemed defective.
  • Products provided/sold by EDI partners and affinity programs are subject to the return policy of the partner.
